William Earl Kennard (born January 19, 1957) is an American attorney who served as the U.S. Ambassador to the European Union (2009–13) and chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (1997–2001). Mr. Kennard currently is non-executive chairman and co-founder of Velocitas Partners LLC, an asset management firm and is also a member of the Operating Executive Board of Staple Street Capital, a private equity firm.
